Michael Patlovich is the founder (2005) and President of MJ Search Partners, Inc. Previously, he was Executive Vice President of Healthcare Placement Group, Inc. Prior to Healthcare Placement Group, Inc., Michael was a Vice President and Partner with Witt/Kieffer, a national executive search firm, with a practice specializing in healthcare and higher education, where he spent twelve years. Initially, he worked with Midwestern clients out of the firm’s Chicago-area office and later served as Vice President and Managing Director of the Boston-area office for five years.

During his nearly 25-year career in executive search, Michael has led more than 375 search assignments for health systems, academic medical centers, community hospitals, managed care and insurance companies, investment banks, and consulting firms throughout the United States. He is well versed in the market strategies and operations of healthcare systems and managed care organizations, and he skillfully identifies executive talent for evolving and dynamic healthcare organizations.

Michael has conducted a broad range of healthcare executive search consulting assignments for hospital and system chief executive officers, chief operating officers and other senior management executives. Along with extensive experience in identifying physician executives, his assignments have also focused on leaders in patient care services, finance, information systems and human resources.

Earlier in his career, Michael was a search consultant for the healthcare and insurance clients of a Midwest-based executive search firm. Prior to entering the executive search field, he was a Sales Representative for American Hospital Supply Corporation.

Michael received his Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, where he played varsity baseball for four years.

Michael lives in Lake Bluff, Illinois with his wife and four children. While he enjoys spending some of his free time at the golf course, his deep commitment to community involves coaching and mentoring young athletes through local youth baseball and basketball organizations. For the past five years, he has been a volunteer assistant varsity basketball coach at Waukegan High School.
